The Geneva-based World Economic Forum has published a “Risks Report” that identifies the major risks facing the world economic system along with the factors likely to have the greatest impact.
Risks: In 2017, extreme weather -the most conspicuous consequence of global warming – was No. 1, with natural disasters No. 3. As for the impacts, extreme weather reached No. 2 followed by another global warming consequence at third: namely water crisis, and at No. 5 the failure of climate change mitigation and adaptation.
