How to Electrify?
Ways you can take action. Learn how you can switch to high-efficiency, electric appliances and vehicles to save money, live better, and dramatically reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Clean up your electric supply:
Sign up for clean renewable energy. Subscribe to Community Solar or choose a 100% Renewable Energy plan from your utility to power everything in your home with zero emissions.
Electrify your home:
Replace everything that burns fossil fuels with an electric alternative. No compromise, high efficiency electric solutions will make your home safer and more comfortable.
Electrify your ride:
Replace your gas-powered car with an Electric Vehicle. Experience better performance, cut fuel and maintenance costs in half, and never visit a gas station again. EV’s are just better automobiles.
Electrify Everyone:
Spread the word and promote solutions that prioritize front line communities. Donate to charities and support policies that electrify low-income homes in your area. Spread the word about the benefits of electrification.

Electrification in the Headlines

Why Electrify?
Clean Energy Starts at Home
Electrification involves transitioning from fossil fuel-based systems to efficient electric technologies. In Oregon, thanks to HB 2021 (in 2021), all retail electricity must be generated 100% by clean energy sources by 2040
In transportation, electric motors are so much more efficient than the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) that even if the electricity we use to charge the EV battery is derived from a coal-fired power plant, the EV emits less climate pollution than the ICE.
Be part of the electrification transition:
Beyond emissions, electrification delivers significant co-benefits, including reduced air pollution and improved public health outcomes—particularly in communities historically burdened by environmental injustice. As fossil fuel combustion is phased out, we see direct improvements in indoor and outdoor air quality, energy resilience, and system-wide efficiency.
- Decades of climate science confirm that the leading driver of the climate crisis is the combustion of fossil fuels for electricity, heating, and transportation.
- By shifting away from fossil fuels and investing in clean electricity—powered by renewables like wind and solar—we can drastically cut emissions. High-efficiency electric technologies offer a reliable, scalable alternative for homes, businesses, and mobility.
- Electrification is more than a technology shift; it’s a science-backed solution with direct climate and health benefits. It’s one of the most impactful steps we can take right now to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and build a climate-resilient future.
