GUEST COLUMN: Natural climate solutions benefit rural Oregon

We rural Oregonians live on the frontlines when it comes to dealing with the increasing temperature and heatwave risk, reducing snowpack and water availability causing greater drought and wildfire threat, and the increasing flood and extreme weather risk.
Whether they claim to accept climate science, consciously or unconsciously, business leaders and legislators who commit to opposing proposals that address the climate crisis that drives the threats to us identified above are sabotaging the future for rural Oregonians.
