Regional tour to explore whether Oregon should constitutionally guarantee the right to safe and healthy environment
An organization hoping to pass a state constitutional amendment to “enshrine the right to a safe and healthy environment” launches a statewide “Ground Truth Listening Tour” in Ashland at the end of March.
The Oregon Coalition for an Environmental Rights Amendment (OCERA) wants to hear from Oregonians about whether they would support enacting an explicit state constitutional guarantee to the safe and healthy environment.
Events in Ashland on Tuesday afternoon, March 31, and Wednesday, April 1, bracket an evening event in Medford on March 31, followed by five other scheduled events in Grants Pass, Roseburg, Port Orford, Gold Beach and Brookings, followed in May with conversations in central and eastern Oregon and in June in the rest of western Oregon.
