Living with Climate Change in the Rogue Valley

April 3 – June 5, 2024


Living with Climate Change in the Rogue Valley is open to SOU Students AND the general public. Individuals sign up for a 10-week course (3 hours per week) that explores climate change science and the impacts on key sectors of energy, construction, humanity, terrestrial natural systems, weather, water, agriculture and transportation. Within each sector is a focus on global and local impacts, personal and collective mitigating actions and measurements on how to reduce your greenhouse gas footprint.

SOU Students: Register with SOU as you do for any of the courses you take.

Non SOU Students:

  • For those over age 65; please complete the registration form below. You qualify for SOU’s special registration at no charge.
  • For those under age 65: Please complete the registration form below. Details, including SOU fee requirement, are pending, however, we anticipate it will be around $100 and scholarships to help defray registration costs are available. Link to Scholarship Information.)


Participants are expected to attend all sessions, write reflections, participate in discussions, complete the Greenhouse Gas Footprint Calculator, and are encouraged to complete a Plan of Action.
