I usually try to keep these columns upbeat and bright. But as I look back over the past few months, I just can’t bring myself to do that. With the smoke from wildfire and the air quality index often at “Very Unhealthy,” there were many times we couldn’t go outside to walk our dog.
My wife Gail and I often take Shasta, our Springer Spaniel, for walks in the Jacksonville Woodlands. You’ve probably us bouncing down 3rd Street right near Graham and Sterling. It’s a beautiful, joyous walk. Heavily wooded with conifers and madrones.
