Co-Sponsored by SOCAN and Our Family Farms
Day after day we hear and read depressing news about how difficult it is to address climate change. What we don’t often hear is how one solution is in our own back yards and under our feet. At the next monthly general meeting of Southern Oregon Climate Action Now, Dr Carley Corrado, founder of Enliven Leadership, will discuss how your garden and your local organic farm, teeming with life and soil ecology, can be a vital piece of the puzzle promoting planetary regeneration. During the presentation, Dr. Corrado, will explore how changing agricultural practices to incorporate techniques that enhance and foster life in the soil are a cornerstone to a healthy future. Corrado will also demonstrate how restoring ecosystems, supporting our healthy gut microbiomes, and sequestering carbon can help cool our planet.
The SOCAN meeting, open to the public at no charge, will occur on Tuesday November 27th at 6:00 pm at the Medford Public Library, 205 S. Central Avenue, Medford.
Dr Carley Corrado holds a BS in Chemistry from the University of Oregon and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
