Community Seed Swap

THE PUBLIC IS INVITED TO A SEED AND SCION EXCHANGE ON MARCH 31ST AT BELLVIEW GRANGE, 1050 TOLMAN CREEK ROAD IN ASHLAND.

From 10 am til noon there will be four free 20 minute talks on Seeds, Soil, Plant Propagation and Bees by local experts Chris Hardy, Syndey Hamlett, Brad Feral and Laura Bee (see attachment above).  The Seed and Scion Faire will open at Noon and continue til 3 pm, with free seeds, vendors selling agricultural and garden items, kids’ activities and dozens of ag-related non profits who will provide information on pollinator protection, pesticides, native seeds and related topics.  Music and refreshments will be available.
This year plant cuttings and root stock have been added to an array of demonstrations and available items.  There will be seed cleaning and soil building demonstrations plus information booths on Biochar and handling Food Waste and composting offered by Action Teams of the  regional Drawdown Project. Dr. Ray Seidler, retired EPA Research Scientist and his wife Julia Seidler, Toxicologist, will be available for sale and book signing of Julia’s  “Living with the Enemy: How Chemical Toxins in your Home Affect your Health” now available in English and Spanish.
