Watch the film Chasing Coral individually, and then join us for our March meeting to talk about the film, other ocean impacts, and what we can do about them.
Watching the film is free to subscribers of Netflix and, for those without a Netflix subscription, can be accessed for free via YouTube at this link.
We will talk about the film and the latest IPCC report (see figure below), and then discuss what we can do to limit the impacts of excess greenhouse gas emissions on corals, the ocean in general, and the rest of the planet, too. Note the circled area on the figure is related to warm water corals. I’ll share with you some more studies, some of which show reasons for optimism.
So, please watch the movie between now and 3/16 and join us for a discussion.
