July’s meeting will feature Mark Gautreaux (Wild Rivers Permaculture Guild) speaking about Principles of Permaculture
Mark brings to us a wealth of knowledge and experience, having received a Permaculture Design Certificate from Oregon State University (OSU) & a Master Gardener’s certificate through Humboldt State University’s Outreach Program. He has also completed the intensive Aquaculture course at OSU, and was one of the original organizers of the Wild Rivers Permaculture Guild. He has undertaken and supported both small and large permaculture projects in Curry and Del Norte Counties. In his talk, he’ll lay out the guiding principles of permaculture that underpin permaculture projects.
The following week (July 28), Rhianna Simes will discuss smaller scale, household gardens around our homes at SOCAN’s Monthly Meeting.
Coastal SOCAN meets monthly on the 4th Wednesday. Meetings are currently via Zoom. Contact Bill Gorham (bill@socan.eco) for access.
