When even the Oregonian reams them, Republicans should understand their position is unwarranted.
You have to appreciate Republican legislators’ consistency if not their creativity in staging a walkout. They’ve hit upon the one tactic that gives their minority the outsized power to block Democrats’ long-sought cap-and-trade legislation. And with apparently no other tools in their toolbox, Republicans aren’t afraid to use it again and again.
And now, unfortunately, again.
