SOCAN’s interest in promoting social justice and solidarity among people connects with the purpose of the Women’s March. We invite you to join other SOCAN supporters as we march together in the Women’s March Southern Oregon.
Watch this space for updates.

From the organizers:

“We stand together in solidarity with our partners and children for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families – recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country.”
                             – Women’s March on Washington
We march in Medford, OR, on January 20, 2018, to celebrate the lives of women and promote solidarity among people of all genders, ages, races, cultures, political affiliations, disabilities and backgrounds.  We announce our collective vision to use our vote to create a government that supports and represents our intersecting identities and the social justice and human rights issues that impact all of us.

Women’s March Southern Oregon 2018 is part of a national movement to empower everyone who stands for women’s rights, human rights, civil liberties, and social justice for all.  We are unified in our goal to respond to misogyny, arrogance, and the abuse of power, and we will not be silent.

This is a non-partisan and peaceful event.  SOCAN is a co-sponsor of this event.
